ENA Mission

Edmond Neighborhood Alliance is a voluntary partnership of neighborhood organizations throughout Edmond, committed to preserving and enhancing the quality of life for Edmond homeowners, inside and outside the borders of their neighborhoods.

Edmond Neighborhood Alliance, established in 1994 is a Non Profit Corporation in the State of Oklahoma and is registered by the IRS as a 501C Corporation.

• Be proactive in pursuit of the ENA mission, taking advantage of opportunities that arise and creating new initiatives.
• Provide forums and an organizational structure to help neighborhoods communicate, cooperate, and learn from each other.
• Provide information and learning opportunities to help neighborhoods improve from inside, and to make residents aware of plans and activities that may affect them from outside.
• Increase the influence of neighborhoods by speaking in a unified voice on neighborhood issues and challenges.
• Participate with Edmond city staff, elected officials, developers, and civic organizations, speaking and acting as neighborhood advocates to ensure that the legitimate concerns of our homeowners and neighborhoods are recognized, understood and accommodated.

• Assist in the formation and/or organization of neighborhood and homeowner associations. Strengthen neighborhoods by encouraging resident participation in neighborhood activities and associations.
• Empower neighborhoods and their residents by educating and informing on issues and processes that affect them.
• Provide a central organization for the purpose of exchanging information and ideas for the common good of neighborhoods.
• Expedite communication and cooperation among neighborhoods to achieve common purposes and solve common challenges.
• Promote safety, crime prevention and beautification among neighborhoods.
• Encourage resident and neighborhood involvement in local government, civic organizations, and the Edmond Community.
• Participate in events that will improve community and neighborhood relationships.
• Monitor, participate with and advise governmental, civic and business organizations on issues impacting neighborhoods.
• Promote actions that preserve and enhance the quality of life for neighborhood residents.

• Annual "Edmond Neighborhood Summit", co-sponsored with the City of Edmond and EEDA (Edmond Economic Development Authority)
• Periodic Meetings: for learning and exchange of information and ideas
• Annual Neighborhood Picnic, co-sponsored with the Edmond SUN
• ENA Newsletters
• Assistance in organizing and/or improving neighborhood associations
• Monitor Council, Planning Commission, and Edmond City activities:
• Notify neighborhoods when pending activities affect them
• Educate/Assist neighborhoods when appropriate
• Speak and act as advocates for neighborhood issues
• Neighborhood Voter Registration, Election Forums & Information
• I-35 Tree Preservation Grant(s), Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Forestry Division
